Winterizing the greenhouse

Not knowing much about winterizing greenhouses, we set about taking care of what was the most obvious: closing the roof vents.  Easy enough to do for the most part.  Now on to whatever else is applicable as mentioned here.

The secret garden

This garden is so tucked away between the fields and the building that it feels like a secret garden.

After a first round of cleaning.  Soon it gets another visit from the fairy godmothers with their garden gloves and trash bags. 

Progress

   For now, everything we do is considered progress.

 

 

Julia and Alexis concentrated on the paved area near one of the storage sheds.  The green house will be moved to the greenhouse area, clearing this for a possible sitting space for working students or lunch area for faculty when the weather permits.

 

I cleaned up a few plants that  needed a few dried leaves removed.  The ants and I battled for access to them.  I am bigger, I won.

 

Next up is trash removal.  Our friends the ground guys should be on it next week.
